Meet Gypsy
Strong, playful, and deeply loved.
Also known as Mr. Gooly, Gypsy is a black lab whose journey is rooted in resilience. Found hobbling near a notorious dumping ground, she was rescued by a Good Samaritan and brought to animal control—her body temperature soaring at 107°F. She was battling heat stroke, infection, and a severe case of valley fever that had spread to her lungs and bones.
Fighting for Her Life
With intensive treatment and time, Gypsy began to heal. She faced years of physical and emotional recovery, but she never gave up—and neither did we.
A Promise Fulfilled
We made her a promise: if she survived, she would always have a place in our sanctuary family. And she did.
Today, Gypsy lives a full and happy life. She loves mealtime, swimming, and playing fetch, and with years of trust-building and training, she’s grown into a confident and joyful soul.
